Nancy Baker Obituary
With long life and His salvation did God bless Mrs. Nancy Baker, need Stephen, who was born May 7th, 1814, and died within three miles of Harriettsville April 25th, 1899. In 1835 she married to Andrew Baker who survives her though in his ninetieth year and in feeble health.
Before performing the last sad rites for the mother and wife the solemn ordinance of Christian baptism was administered to the father and husband who was unable to be raised from his bed. Sister Baker was born of the Spirit and united with the M.E. church when young. She expressed to the writer her confidence in God and her readiness to depart to be with Christ. She leaves eight children to mourn the irreparable loss they now musty bear.
