George Roth Dies Near Woodsfield

George Roth, 82, Monroe county farmer, died Wednesday morning at his home east of Woodsfield, after failing for several years.

Surviving are two sons, Gene of the home, and Vernon of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. John Andrews of Jackson Ridge; three brothers, John of Woodsfield, Fred of Alexandria, and Will of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Wayne Watson of McKeesport, Pa.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jeffers of Woodsfield. His wife died seven years ago, and a brother Charles also died previously.

The body is at the Bauer & Turner funeral home where short s funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock, followed by additional services at 2 o’clock at the Moffatt Methodist church. Rev. William Miller of Woodsfield will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
