Monroe County Deputy County Clerk Of Courts Dies At 53

Woodsfield – Mrs. Helena Yockey Swingle, 53, of Woodsfield, a deputy Monroe County Clerk of courts died early Sunday (Jan. 31) after a long illness. She was born Aug. 26, 1911, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Yockey. Mrs. Swingle was a member of Woodsfield Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband Glenn Swingle of the home, a sister, Mrs. Raymond Drumm of Woodsfield and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p m Wednesday at Bauer – Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
