Tubaugh Rites At M. E. Church

Woodsfield, O., Nov. 21 – Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at Woodsfield Methodist Episcopal church for Mrs. Laura Tubaugh, 64, wife of A. J. Tubaugh, of Akron, who passed away at her home about 3 o’clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Tubaugh had been in failing health for some time, but had been seriously ill for only about one month, suffering from a heart ailment.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Scheidler, Mrs. Marie Becker and Lucy Tubaugh, all of Akron. Four brothers and one sister, John and William Roth, of Woodsfield; George Roth, Woodsfield, Route 5; Fred Roth, Newark, and Mrs. Wayne Watson, McKeesport, Pa., and two half sisters, Mrs. Mary Fleshman, Wheeling, and Mrs. Elizabeth Jeffers, Woodsfield, Route 5. Two sons, Dwight and Raymond, preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Tubaugh and their family are former residents of Woodsfield, Mr. Tubaugh having been in business as a furniture dealer and undertaker. The family moved to Akron about 14 years ago.

The body will be brought to Woodsfield on Friday about noon and taken to the John Roth home on Paul street. At 2 o’clock it will be taken to the church for the funeral services in charge of her pastor, Rev. Mr. Miller, of Akron, assisted by Rev. Herbert C. White, pastor of the local M. E. church. Burial will be made in Oaklawn cemetery.

Many friends in Woodsfield and throughout Monroe county extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
