Clara R. Edwards Obituary
Clara R. Edwards, 99, formerly of 561 Alba Ave., Chester, died Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Convalescent Center here after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Edwards was born Nov 24, 1878 in Rinard Mills, OH, a daughter of Esau Knowlton and Rachel Snodgrass Knowlton. Having spent most of her life in Chester, she was the oldest member of the Virginia Ave. Church of Christ.
Her husband, Ross E. Edwards, died in 1936. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Ruth E. ) Butterbach of Pittsburgh;two sons, Robert H. Edwards of Chester and Paul E. Edwards of East Liverpool: three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Frank Higgenbotham. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday afternoon and night.
