William B. Smith Obituary


William B. Smith, 73, died Thursday afternoon at the Ohio Valley Hospital in Wheeling, after a long illness.

Surviving are his widow, Stella Schumacher Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Brophy of Columbus; and three sons, Lloyd, William, and Paul, all of Woodsfield; and three sisters, Mrs. B.H. Williams of Woodsfield, Mrs. Edward Reisinger of Pittsburg, and Mrs. Lena Wilcox of California.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church and Monroe lodge No. 189, F. and A. M. He was a Woodsfield shoe merchant.

Masonic rites will be held Saturday evening at 7:30 o’clock in the Bauer & Turner funeral home, Woodsfield.

Funeral rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the funeral home. Rev. D. A. Gradwohl, pastor of the Evangelical & Reformed church will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery.
